Bantu, a garment exporter, happened to visit Ban; for business purposes. In the course of securing orders for his export firm, he was so charmed by the night life there that he kept postponing his return. Every week he would phone up his wife and inform her about how good a response he was getting from overseas buyers.
All was well till one fine day, the wife, sensing infidelity, left a telephonic ultimatum at Bantu's hotel:
'Either you return soon or else I'll start selling whatever you're buying there'.'
Twice as quick
Bantu had just moved to Bangalore. He had trouble speaking to the local people and decided to learn Kannada.
He went to a bookstore and picked up two copies of Learn Kannada in Thirty Days.
The shopkeeper asked, 'Is one of them for your friend?''
Oh, no, no, I want to learn Kannada in fifteen days itself.'
