Greater Nepal is a cinematic exploration of the identity of a nation and its people through the eyes of an insider. The film is by Manoj Pandit and was released at Jai Nepal Cinema on Tuesday

Greater Nepal argues that the territories seized by the East India Company in the Treaty of Sugauli, lawfully belongs to Nepal. In 1950, Nepal and Great Britain signed a Friendship Treaty in which it has been categorically mentioned that all treaties signed hitherto between the two countries has been annulled by this treaty. Thus, by this provision in the treaty, the treaty of Sugauli has also been annulled. It claims the lost land should be rightfully returned to Nepal.

The film also documents and raises the issue of deliberate border encroachment by India in several parts of Nepal , particularly in Kalapani, Susta, Pyaratal, Bhadrapur and Kakarbhitta.
